ok no i think this is unfair
it should be “How ignorant people interpret psychiatrists”
because yes, some parents are ignorant people. and i truly feel for those of you who have to put up with them
but some parents start off ignorant and try and educate themselves when they find out something’s wrong with their child.
some parents start off knowledgeable and fight every step of the way to get their child the best care they can.
some parents don’t understand and have a hard time trying to care for and support their child, who is suffering and they hate that but they don’t know how to stop it.
some parents do understand but still can’t help because sometimes when you’re so deep in depression you can’t even hear those that are trying to help you.
and some parents are the greatest support and help and without them you’d be lost.
